Jan was recently sold to René Verhaar, a familiar face in the Dutch sheepdog trial world. He will start her this trial season. We are very happy Jan's back in the game and we have good hopes that René will bring out the best in her!
Penllwyn Jan was bred out of Kevin Evans' famous Jaff 231424. Jaff also bred his Mirk 272009, the International Supreme Champion 2008 and full brother Spot 272008, who along with Mirk also appeared in the finals of the World Trials 2008 in Llandeilo, Wales.
Jan's litter brother Penllwyn Jim was 2nd in the South Wales Nursery Championships and since running in Open trials winner of numerous open trials in Wales. He is handled by Kevin Evans.
Jan's mother bred another great bitch, Nigel Watkins' Floss 254392 who was also in the World Trial 2008 Semi-finals.
Jan herself bred Kevin Evans' topdog Greg 294366.
During her first trials' season Jan caught the eye of many as a very classy, powerful and intense bitch with an tremendous work drive.
Jan has a superb temperament: always happy and friendly and she has a great will-to-please.
